This site gathers together two types of information:

1. Case study and course portfolio materials based on two specific Topics in Literature courses (sophomore-level, for non-English majors) taught out of the A&S Department of English (University of Cincinnati), the first in winter 2010, co-taught by Wayne Hall and Mica Darley-Emerson, and the second in spring 2011, taught by Wayne Hall; and

2. More general information intended as a resource for others teaching large-enrollment courses with an active-learning classroom approach and looking for other grading strategies to implement in such courses.

The title of this site — WEBH — stands for “web-enhanced, blended, hybrid” (that is, the use of instructional technology to support large-enrollment teaching), with echoes of Cincinnati’s signature radio station WEBN. The 3.0 part of the title points towards the use of technology in interactive ways, particularly the ways in which students themselves create course content (including content in WordPress that might continue beyond the Bb-based limits of a particular course).
